Welcome to the Senior School
Our Senior School is a vibrant and inspiring learning community for young people in Years 9 to 12. An exceptional education is provided, underpinned by our Christian faith and our school values of courage, integrity and compassion.
Your final years of school at Collegiate prepare you for life afterwards. All that you need to live a fulfilling life is already in you; our aim in the Senior School is to remind you of this.
‘Soft skills’ such as problem-solving, adaptability, communication, teamwork, self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure have never been more important in colleges, universities and workplaces.
Collegiate provides a variety of authentic and effective learning opportunities designed to help you develop in these areas.
A broad range of sporting, cultural, service and outdoor learning experiences complement the curriculum, to further develop your life skills, resilience and confidence. This includes the experiential learning 9 ASPIRE and 10 Connect programs, which you can read more about here.

Pastoral Care and Wellbeing
Each student is assigned a Mentor, who is a teacher focused on your wellbeing. They will ensure you are known, cared for and connected to our learning community. The first point of contact for your parents with Collegiate is your Mentor. We see education as a partnership between home and school.
House System
Our pastoral care is strengthened by eight Houses, each with its own identity and House spirit. Being an active House member ensures you enjoy a sense of fun, connection and purpose within a group.
Student Leadership
In Senior School you are the student leaders and positive role models of the School community. You embody Collegiate’s culture as you act responsibly, value and enjoy learning and welcome others.
There are so many opportunities for you to grow your leadership skills; as prefects, House leaders, activity captains, sport leaders, on student committees, in social justice and service learning.

Senior School Snapshots
Freezin’ for a Reason
This morning our brave Year 12s took to the water at Nutgrove Beach to support Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and the Lions Club of Hobart Town Inc for ‘Freezin’ for a Reason’. The water temperature was around 12 degrees! The students had a very chilly swim for about 5 minutes before heading to the warm showers at the Sandy Bay Sailing Club and tucking into egg and bacon rolls. Well done, Year 12!
Grandparents and Special Guests Day
Our Middle and Senior School students welcomed their Grandparents and special guests to school yesterday. Over 200 visitors enjoyed tours of our classrooms and new facilities, followed by morning tea while being entertained by our wonderful Founders’ Choir and String Musicians.
