Fergus is an experienced manager with over 20 years of commercial, financial and operational experience. During this time, Fergus held two Chief Financial Officer (CFO) roles with ASX listed companies, both national groups operating in agriculture and financial services. He also has experience operating a consulting business, assisting not-for-profit, small business and corporate clients. He has a strong customer service focus.
The COO’s responsibilities include financial management, governance, risk management, ICT, enrolments, business operations and property services. Fergus is an ex officio (non-voting) member of, as well as Secretary to, the School’s Board.
Fergus has a Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Education with Professional Honours from the University of Tasmania, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Deakin University, as well as a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance from the Governance Institute of Australia. He is a Fellow of CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Governance Institute of Australia and Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Fergus is married to Rachel and their three daughters are students at Collegiate. On weekends he enjoys spending time with family and cycling. His community involvement includes volunteering at other not-for-profit organisations, one as a Director and another as a youth mentor.
